Karin Kiedl has been working as a painter since 2000. Her interest in creative work in various areas has been ever-present. In the early days, due to her role as the mother of two sons, she pursued her profession mainly as a hobby. Meanwhile this hobby has become her full-time work.
Karin’s style is unique and yet it varies. It has evolved from abstract art into portrait painting into, lastly, abstract portrait painting. After priming the canvas she works out shapes based on arbitrariness, is thus able, to create neutral characters who become obvious only during the painting process. She rather sees herself as the tool that brings to life randomly appearing personalities.
Public interest in Karin’s paintings became evident at exhibitions in Stockholm, Vienna and New York. Karin lives in Schwanberg (Austria) with her family, where her studio is located too.
